They can range anywhere from 25 pounds up to 600 pounds. halibut fishing is such an amazing experience, you can battle a halibut for an hours. It has been none to have to shoot a halibut with a shot gun to put them done. They are extremely strong and if one hits you in the wrong spot you can become badly injured.
